Built-In Cut-Off Blade
The MUTOH VJ-628 has a built-in cut-off blade eliminating the need for you to slice your printed media off by hand. Using the remote panel you can choose to cut the media off immediately or set it to cut automatically after printing. The cut-off can also perform a double cut to slice through media that are unable to be cut with a single cut.
Speed and quality
Select from a range of resolutions, from high-speed 360dpi for textured media and/or graphics that will be viewed from a considerable distance, up to 1440dpi for high detailed images and close viewing graphics.
Variable Dot Technology
With variable dot technology large dots are used in heavily saturated areas and smaller dots for lighter areas allowing you to produce amazing prints with depth and quality. Achieve rich, saturated graphics, logos, and images, and fine, sharp details, all printed at the same time.
Configure to suit your needs
For higher production speeds use only CMYK ink.
For the smoothest flesh tones and light shades, expand the ink configuration to include light cyan and light magenta.
Adjustable Head height
Alternate between low and high head height positions to give you the freedom and confidence to print onto various media in different thicknesses without concern of head scuffing. You can now print onto a greater range of media for a multitude of applications.
Serious Media Handling
Eco-solvent printers use a heated platen to dry the ink, this also softens the media. If a printer has only 2-3 pressure rollers, then each roller needs to apply more pressure in order to create enough friction to drive the media through the printer. Pressure in limited locations across a now soft media can create tracks up the media and leave you with a less than desirable print. With more rollers feeding the media the pressure and grip are spread equally across the width of the media leaving you with a better print.
Thin media can often wrinkle during printing. The VJ-628 pressure rollers can be individually released to assist in preventing wrinkles. Adding to this the platen vacuum fan can also be reduced.
Take production to the next level
As your production demands go so too can your printer.
Choose the optional stand to convert from a desktop to a freestanding vinyl printer. The VJ-628 stand is also on wheels and can easily be maneuvered from one room to another, giving you the freedom to maximise the available workspace.
Install MUTOH's optional take-up unit to roll the printed media back around a core, eliminating prints touching the floor and being marked and damaged, and allowing for continuous unattended roll-to-roll print production.
